Eckford Street Studio — host of many a Drink and Draw and other communal artistic events — has recently received its 501(c)(3) status and is now welcoming students who would otherwise lack access to art education into its studio for free programming.
To support the scholarship program and other new initiatives, Eckford Street Studio (70 Eckford Street) is hosting its first fundraising event as a non-profit organization on Thursday, October 25. The Art Party is from 7–10 PM at New Women Space (188 Woodpoint Road) in Williamsburg, and all proceeds raised go directly towards fulfilling our mission of providing high-quality, affordable, and accessible art education to all members of our community. There will be food from Greenpoint favorites including Le Gamin and Enid’s, an open bar featuring bottles from Dandelion Wine, music, and a silent art auction featuring work by local artists and friends of the studio.
Support a local institution while enjoying local treats!
